Our flagship single back-packed system against IED threats.
Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) are generally made from non-military components usually employed by terrorists and other non-state armed groups and resistance movements.
Although IEDs are relatively easy to fabricate and inexpensive, they pose a major threat to security forces worldwide and can potentially cause heavy casualties. According to data from the UN, IED attacks currently occur globally on a scale of hundreds of incidents per month, resulting in tens of thousands of casualties and an untold amount of destruction and disruption.
As this threat continues to evolve technologically, military and security forces must maintain advanced operational capabilities by using IED countermeasures based on adaptive technology, considering both current and future threats.
Providing ground forces with tactical, soldier-borne Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) has always been a major challenge in the tactical arena. Constraints such as weight, battery capacity, radiation safety, antenna dimensions and more have all been factors that, in the past, limited the effectiveness of jamming systems and decreased their performance.
The resulting solutions have all employed two or three units, carried by several soldiers to cover the entire frequency range typically required to prevent IED radio detonation.
Netline has been a pioneer in offering reactive jamming capabilities with complete protection – in a portable single back-packed system. Our C-Guard RJ ManPack provides on-the-move, safe, tactical EW protection for the ground forces.
The C-Guard RJ ManPack is based on a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform, which uses a real-time processing engine to counter the frequency range between 20-6000MHz. The C-Guard RJ ManPack determines which transmissions pose a threat to the force under protection, enabling flexibility & adaptability to various arenas and new emerging threats.
