Job Description:
The Import & Export Coordinator is responsible for managing all international shipping processes, coordinating with customs and regulatory authorities, and ensuring compliance with security and legal requirements related to the import and export of sensitive technological products. This role requires working with internal and external stakeholders, managing complex processes, and having a deep understanding of international regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Managing import and export processes, including communication with international freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
- Handling export approvals in accordance with security regulations.
- Coordinating with regulatory authorities for shipment approvals and import of components.
- Managing documentation and procedures related to shipping, customs, and export licenses.
- Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Optimizing shipping processes to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Managing risks in international trade, identifying potential issues, and providing tailored solutions.
- Maintaining relationships with international suppliers and customers while ensuring high-level service.
- Handling and managing the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process with suppliers and manufacturers.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in import/export management, preferably in a defense or technology company.
- Proficiency in Priority ERP – a must.
- Strong negotiation skills with shipping service providers – a must.
- In-depth knowledge of defense export regulations.
- Experience working with customs authorities, the Ministry of Economy, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- High-level proficiency in English – reading, writing, and speaking.
